In Windows XP, I'm sure you are all aware of the inbuilt encryption option:
right click -> properties -> advanced -> encrypt contents to secure data.
Well, I had encrypted some data a while ago and forgotten I had. Now I assume XP generates some sort of 'unique key' that is associated with the User, and is the only way to unlock the file(s)?
Well, my PC went tits up and I reinstalled XP, obviously now I don't have the 'key' to unlock the files. Doh.
So, is there anything I can do? Will I require some sort of super hax0r skills, or is the data too well encrypted???
