No for sale = No UD units

I feel really annoyed that the ability to use the forsale forum has now been changed to a minimum of posts. As a long term registered user, it is only since the server crash that I have not made many posts. Yet somebody who might make a lot of noise and not actually contribute much gets access.

The point of me moving my UD crunching from OCUK to HEXUS, was a sense that I thought HEXUS would be better !!

I've added nearly 200 days to the UD total in only 2 months, doesn't that count for something ?

    Hi Gridlock,

Unfortunately it's the same for everybody, I do appreciate that you are a part of the UD team, it's great

Please don't let the decision to limit for sale forum to people with 50+ posts put you off hexus. It is simply to try and improve the experience people have with the for sale forums, because people with more posts, are more likely to stick around, and not just disappear, and then re-register with a new id later, and then rip more people off...

    this thread has more :

If you want to discuss this with me some more, please pm me.

    Thanks

Without the forsale section, i'm less inclined to use the entire forum. I might eventually get me post count back up to 50+ (had over 150 before the crash), but even with this, the number of people looking at these forsales will be greatly reduced (less buyers) !!!

Therefore, as I will be in the forums less, I have left the Hexus UD team.

    Cheers, GRiDlock.

The point is to have sales within the comunity...

The rule works as a whole. It's unfortunate that you have been effected by the crash and for that I can only sympathise. Please don't take this out on the people at HEXUS.net for trying to make this a safer place for us all.

    ho hum....

toys.. pram.. wheeeee flying through the air...

sorry.. I recognise your name from before the forum crash.. but all this is getting a bit silly....

    [rant]
people register and use hexus as an online community who also like to buy and sell second hand things.. granted.
people like to join forums just to buy and sell things but post a little in other places to help people out... ok...
people who dont actually give anything back to the forum and just register to sell their grandmothers soul complain and whinge when there not allowed to sell stuff... erm.. go elsewhere.... they only like for sale forums because they dont like paying the listings fee's on ebay and ebid!!

Moby - "Spam" I don't have a clue what you mean

Only one comment i'd like to repeat, is that with less people viewing the for-sale , then there are less buyers (me for example with cash to spend, but not enough posts to view)

I am still about, but a bit less often - GRiDlock

Gridlock - I felt the same but David gave me a very clear idea of why they did it in my thread in the feedback forum and having read that I can certainly see why. Suggest you read it - it calmed me down!!

On the flipside, I put my Lan PC up for sale before the crash, and couldn't get a buyer for it. Put it back in again after the 50 post restriction had been introduced and it sold.

    Explain away.

Don't really make much sense though to be honest. Everyone who could see you PC for sale after the crash would have been able to see it before the crash as well.
