    Help! Blue screen!!!!

I have done soooo much to try and eliminate this problem but it still happens. I got this problem about two days ago and I have been serching around for solutions. I have formatted and partition my hard drive to avoid viruses, errors etc. I have cleaned my computer from dust and unplugged every socket and replugged in case a wire was loose. I have searched in case i have faulty hardware but my computer has detected everything to be fine. Memory, Graphics card etc. I have 6 fans on my computer so I don't think it's overheating. I have a 700 watt psu so I don't think it's because of low power. Any ideas?!?!?!

    Re: Help! Blue screen!!!!

You've done most of the checks yourself. Can generally avoid saying its software/driver based as you have reformatted and reinstalled (unless there is a new driver you upgraded to when the blue screens started and you are still using that one?)

Most of my hardware issues like this in the past have been caused by RAM. Are you running 2 or more sticks? If so pull all but one out, see if it happens, swap to another (in a different slot) and see if it happens. If it does then its not RAM.

A full description of the hardware in the PC might give further clues. Also a description of what the computer is doing immediately before the BSOD - and, of course, the BSOD 0x00000000 type and any driver (usually xxxxxx.sys) named.

    STOP 0x0000003B: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
Usual causes: System service, Device driver, graphics driver, ?memory
    (carrona.org)

Can you copy the C:\Windows\Minidump\012814-20670-01.dmp dump file (and any recent others) to the Desktop, zip them (right-click and select Send to > Compressed folder) and upload the resulting zip file to somewhere publicly accessible, like SkyDrive, and link it back here? I'll try to analyse it for you.

    Re: Help! Blue screen!!!!

I hope so it downloaded and the dumps ran through the Sysnative BSOD app fine!

The below 'bad' drivers look like prime candidates for causing interference; update your 3rd party drivers, especially those NEC USB 3 hub ones, and uninstall any GigaByte -supplied motherboard utility software via Programs in Windows' Control Panel and disable/uninstall any AMD utilities (Fuel/3d Vision etc - but not the main graphics drivers - via the AMD Catalyst Control Center) during testing.

You can use Driverview by Nir Sofer to check the driver dates after each stage, and a reboot if needed; try to get all 3rd party hardware drivers updated to 2012 or later, if you can.

DriverView > View > Hide Microsoft drivers and View > Choose columns > Modified date. Use the Modified date column for your check on 3rd party driver age and ignore any drivers that begin with "dump_".

Once you've successfully updated at least the 3 drivers below, please install Service Pack 1, it has a number of stability fixes.

    Re: Help! Blue screen!!!!

I would suggest you to upgrade your system drivers and DLL files. You can do so by booting your computer in safe mode with networking. When this is done, upgrade system’s DLL and driver file. Now check your entire system again with pre installed antivirus application or with some other app such as Immunet 3.0, Panda, Comodo, Spyhunter etc. Do clean windows registry and cache junk files. Hope this helps.

    Re: Help! Blue screen!!!!

Listen to satrow - he knows his stuff.

    Install W7 SP1 & update the drivers.

Both bugchecks involve a 0xc0000005 exception - memory acces violation, aka, "access denied".

It is very likely that the lack of W7 SP1 combined with the outdated USB drivers + AMD Overdrive caused drivers to clash, e.g., attempt to access memory addresses they should not have; hence the memory access violation exception.

    Re: Bluee screens :(

Could be wrong but used bluescreenview and it seems to point to DX and ATI problem, this leads me to believe its a GPU fault, try reinstalling and updating your GFX drivers to the latest version to see if that helps.

    Thanks, Peter.

Better to continue here than in another topic, nukesploder. I see you've updated the USB3 drivers and installed SP1 - have you run MS/Windows Update to get fully updated yet?

Your latest dump is a 0x116 - a TDR - something is blocking the data needed by your graphics card.

Uninstall AMD Overdrive and all Iobit utilities during testing.

The best compendium of help and tips/troubleshooting procedures that I know of for these TDR errors is here: http://www.sysnative.com/forums/bsod...116-0x117.html try to follow it at closely as possible.

Keep track of all changes you make and keep us updated on them and any progress, positive or otherwise.

    Re: Help! Blue screen!!!!

So here's what I did guys. I read the forum and I realize that I overclocked my computer and then I revert it back to normal. I also re updated my windows 7 but found that there is an important update that I can't download. The thing is security update for Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5.1 on Windows 7 11.2MB. I also disabled some thing on my AMD catalyst control centre. Nothing so far but will keep you updated
