Help with a pesky iTunes download please

Hi, I don't have a lot of truck with iTunes usually (& now I remember why ), so don't know my way round it that well & googling is just sending me in circles..

Fairly simple, I bought an audiobook track earlier which is showed as 'purchased' ok, I got a -1450 download error so gave up & tried later when I restarted pc & itunes.

Track now still showing as purchased when I go to the store page but I have no available downloads - the m4a track is in my itunes folder within a tmp file but not showing in itunes library.

    What's my next move.. thanks

Delete the track from your folder and redownload from the iTunes store (via purchased quick link)?

Thanks, that worked as far as getting to the re-download stage, but then still getting the 'unknown error -1450'

Is other stuff in iTunes working? I only ask because both our household computers/accounts had problems with a recent iTunes upgrade that needed an uninstall and reinstall of iTunes/apple components to sort out.

    Done, no better, unfortunately.

Wouldn't be surprised if it is the update causing problems though, as although I don't often download my last instance pre-update was fine..

Well, I have rolled back to 11.1.3 but still getting the exact same error message - not sure if that was the version that was current when i last successfully downloaded anything but the fact there is still a problem makes it seem like an issue that is just going to follow me, even if I go further back..

iTunes & Windows, can't understand why Apple has never devoted the resources to this OS, as as a user group there windows are far more users than the Apple OS.

Sorry, I know not exactly relevent to the OP, but hope you understand I had to vent.

Re: Help with a pesky iTunes download please

^ more than understand & no apology required.

I have given up in so far as it appears that the download in question is not going to work for me whatever, & have requested a refund. Apple support could not clear up the root of the problem & I have downloaded a test file successfully since (still in a former itunes version) so whether it is the file at fault, or the fact the original download was made while in 11.1.4, who knows.

Haven't marked as resolved as I haven't actually solved the problem (which in the end gets to be more annoying than just not getting the download sorted - I like things to be a) explained and b) fixed. Just for knowledge's sake.)
