Basically... im stumped.

Im coming up with a new website for my band, Void (some of you may have heard us/heard of us).. and im stuck for ideas.

Current site

Site Idea Two

The current one is boring, the ideaOne is alright but it takes too long to load and im just not liking it as much, and ideaTwo i like the top bar but i cant think of anything to go with it (where the info would go, what bg the info would have ect).

Im also open to new ideas. If you describe it, i will make it ! lol.

pity you couldnt mix both sitess as site 1 has the best graphics and is slow but site 2 has a nice layout quick loading but with ugly graphics
also while i was waiting i was expecting to be hit with a loud
catchy intrto tune to keep me occupied while i was waiting for it too load lol just a thought

here we go, ive moved the navigation from the 2nd idea to the first, changed its colours, relocated the clock, redone the preloader and added some sound.

What do you think ?

I think the new nav works well with the rest of the site.
Whack some text/pics in as further testing of the new site and Id say your almost there.
Nice unique style and quite useable IMO.

i dunno if i evern wanna keep the music.... maybe add it into the site later, but i havent got good good enough loops to warrent usage yet ! You be suprised how much of a pain it is to make a loop from either of our demo tracks.... hopefully our new demo track (which has now finished being mixed) will be easier !


Im having trouble on how to layout the information. I could just throw all the news in the box and have a scrollbar, our i could have the names of the news item and them when they are clicked the info is in the big box. Then i may still need a scrollbar.... Ayone know of any good flash mx tuts on scrollbars and movie background transparency ?

i can't get onto the main page of the frist one for some reason, but the intro bit is nice

i love the navigaition on the second one!
best change the text in the main bit to something, beacuse 'Times New Roman' is yucky. but i suppose you're going to do that anyway.

The current site is pretty much dead. And the aforementioned nav in the second one is now in the first one ! Try again or whatever! lol

ahh, my poor modem, the first one jsut loaded.

i'd say an option for msuic off would be nice.
also maybe take the clock out and make the window slightly bigger, i do use 1600x1200 which is a higher res than your average user but it still looks a bitty small. very hard to descide which one to develop more, the graphics are pretty nice.
i think the first one would be nice with some pretty simple, bold text for the content for a sort of 'arty' look
anyway i can't wait to see how these develop
