    boot wierdness startup halting at bios boot point black screen in between boot and wi

    when starting up
    2x I have gotten a stall then after hang it resumes into windows
    also since 750 ti install

    when starting up I get a black screen before win loads for several seconds and after shorter duration prior to windows screen starts then goes into windows
    amd 980 phenom II x4 polaris120 hsf msi 890fx-gd65 wd raptor 450gb powercolor 6790 seasonic s 520w corsair tw 2x2gb 1t coolermaster storm force 200mmx2 1 120mm

    BACKUP! Always better safe than sorry!

    Sounds like Software but have you ran any H/W diagnostics yet? This is one of the best bootable discs out there here is a link to download. That being said it has sooooo many items on it be careful what you use.

    I imagine if it is H/W then it is the HDD so just find out what brand the HDD is and use the respective diag tool. If you think it is software then try a couple basics first. Open CMD Prompt in administrator (right click CMD, "Run As Administrator) and type CHKDSK /R. Hit enter and Y to run on next boot up. Then restart. This can take a long time but does a pretty solid sweep for general issues. It could be the MBR as well so you could run through this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927392/en-us
