My Video folder on Start menu?

Ok, this is starting to bug me now, i built my entire pc for the main purpose of making and editing my own films, so i access the My Videos in My documents quite a lot, all i want to now is, is there any way of getting a link to the folder stuck to the start menu of XP like it does for My Music, My Pictures etc...

    thanks

The only way that i know of, without clicking on My Documents is to change the settings for the My Documents folder so that instead of clicking to access you hover the cursor over it and it displays the content of ur My Documents folder. Its the same menu as the "All programs" menu.

Right click on the windows taskbar (im asuming ur using XP)
Click properties, then the start menu tab.
Then click customize and then click the Advanced tab.
Scroll down untill you find My documents then click the "Display as Menu" radio button.
Click Ok and Apply and ur dun.

Thats the only i know of displaying this without actually clicking on My Documents.

You could probably edit the registry to get the My Videos folder to display, but i dont know how to do that.

yeah thanks, i tried that before and got rid of it because it was taking longer than the original way. however, i just remembered the quick launch bar, i stopped using it after i re-installed last, i'll just stick a shortcut to my videos there for the time being.

    thanks anyway dorza, appreciated

if anyone does know a way to do what i first asked, it would still be nice to know, cheers

You could put the my videos link where IE and OE are located (on the left hand side). All you have to do is drag and drop it to the left bit of the start menu. To open the start menu whilst dragging something hover over the start button while still 'dragging'.

Its not ideal but it is more ideal than the quick launch
