    Chrome 37 tab-switch lag

There seems to be a bug in Chrome 37 drastically affecting responsiveness when switching tabs, increasing time taken to close the browser with a few tabs open, and possibly other things I've not noticed.

    It's detailed here:
    https://productforums.google.com/for...me/uc1ngJYeWsA
    https://code.google.com/p/chromium/i...tail?id=409126

Short version: It seems to be linked to large numbers of bookmarks in the 'Bookmarks bar' folder, and a workaround for the moment is to move most of them, e.g. the ones which aren't visible in the bar anyway, to the 'Other bookmarks' folder.

This happens to me too. Whenever I open too many tabs, switching and closing seem to lag. I checked my bookmarks and they aren't that many though. I only have a few since I also use Mozilla Firefox when browsing other sites that work better there.

    Re: Chrome 37 tab-switch lag

I've experienced the same thing with Chrome, usually with around 20tabs open, even worse when system comes out of sleep mode.
I don't understand why it's such a problem, I used to have more tabs open with Opera(before they jumped on the Chrome engine) and it was always responsive and without any lagging issues.
