Open Mouse Properties by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type mouse, and then click Mouse.
Click the Pointers tab, and then do one of the following:
To give all of your pointers a new look, click the Scheme drop-down list, and then click a new mouse pointer scheme.
To change an individual pointer, under Customize, click the pointer you want to change in the list, click Browse, click the pointer you want to use, and then click Open.
    Click OK & that’s it!

In addition to changing the pointer scheme as Daisy_Michael has described, the pointer options allow you to display a pointer tail, & show the location of the pointer when you hold down the CTRL key, both of which may help you.

Windows also includes a lot of other options for people with disabilities, including visual impairments. If you click on the start button & search for 'accessibility' you should should see an option to 'view current accessibility settings'. Click on that & it'll take you to a section of the control panel where you can select 'Make the computer easier to see', which gives you a lot of options which might be of help to you, including high-contrast screen colours, an on-screen magnifier, & so on.

    Re: Mouse cursor

Go to your control panel (Start -> Control panel), and under 'Hardware and sound', click on 'Mouse'
Open the 'Pointer Options' tab and right at the bottom you have a tick box to 'show location of pointer when I press the CTRL key'

You could go further by adding pointer trails, or going to the pointers tab and picking a larger size mouse pointer.

Month late but you never know

You're right - I missed the Xbox reference, I assumed the OP was talking about a Windows PC. Re-reading the post, I'm not sure I understand it either!

    That's what I thought.

Can a cursor file be made by lifting the cursor image from a screenshot, perhaps?
In the 90s it seemed every website had two things in common - Little blue balls for all the links and custom cursors... So if the kids could do it, any reason why us adults can't?
