You could try a live CD first rather than going through a reinstall only to discover it hasn't helped.
BTW, is the system overclocked at all?
Memtest is good for detecting defective RAM but AFAIK it can miss instability or compatibility problems.

No it is not overclcoked. all is running on stock
I'd probably try swapping hardware if you have access to some spares, mainly RAM and possibly hard drives.
Ok i will try a live cd/usb build and see how stable that is first before swapping/changing hard drives.
In regards to RAM, i have already swapped and changed that
