    W10 download question

Okay I got my W10 upgrade, but as I'm not ready yet, I put it in hidden upgrades, unclicked box. There are 12 important upgrades ready to install, all of which are security upgrades for W7. Most are (KB30*****), one is (KB29*****). When I press install, it starts to download W10. How do I get important security downloads for my W7, and stop it from downloading W10? thanks in advance.

    Re: W10 download question

    Dunno.
I'd done the same as you, but was getting the same - I sighed and bit the bullet this morning, clicking to download and install the security updates...
PC restarted, installed updates and booted into Win7 as normal. No evidence of Win10 anywhere that I can see.

    It'th a mythtery...

    Re: W10 download question

Thanks. I'd switched W10 upgrade off, but when I restarted after W7 upgrades, it went into 'preparing, (don't switch off PC) mode', for hours. I tried switching off, went back to same screen message. But finally it restarted with W7. I'm not sure I want W10 after reading forum, too much hassle. I've downloaded it to USB stick instead.

    Re: W10 download question

I'll probably go Win10 eventually, but only after confirmation that important drivers (like my peripheral ones) are stable on it.
