    FireFox and this forum?

    Been testing out firefox since everyone seems to be banging on about it. Atm I can't notice much difference except for when I visit this site I get a yellow bar at the top saying

    "Additonal plugins are required to display all media on this page"

    When I click on "Install missing plugins" buttons, it says "No plugins found". WHY?

    What version of FF do you have? I find only the latest (v1) seems to manage to install plugins this way.

    I have the latest version from the website. Even when clicking on the banner ad that says "click here to install plug in" it doesn't find a plug in.

    IE never had this trouble,

    As Moby-Dick said, just download the plugin from Macromedia. Just run the install program and problem sorted.

    I thought you had to install the Macromedia plugins for IE anyway? Besides, I'm much happier with Firefox!

    Firefox sometimes finds and downloads the plugin itself, but doesn't always. Currently you need to grab flash yourself.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    the plugin service is largely experimental atthe moment - you might have some luck with netscape's plugin service though, all non-ie browsers use a common plugin standard

    TBH I kind of prefer having to install the plugins manually - cause you know exactly what you've done.

    Better than IEs automatically downloading activex controls just cause they're "signed" (like thats any garantee of safety).
    Now go away before I taunt you a second time.
