What is thumbs?

Hi,

Usually when I bring in photo's from my digital camera and put them in "my pictures" and use windows to put them to CD it puts a file at the end called "thumbs"
Any ideas why (and what it is lol)

it is the cache for the thumbnails (the little preview pictures). you can delete it safely although it will mean the computer will have to remake the thumbnail information each time you view the folder on the CD. if it doesnt bother you just leave it, Windows tends to work better if you leave it be
