what do you want to use the screen saver to do? on NT 5.x, hitting windows-L will hide the display and "lock" the PC so only the current user can use it, after entering his password (which is strictly speaking what you'd want to be doing with a screen saver)

I made a shortcut to the screensaver of choice and stuck it on the star menu, so that I just had to hit
'doze, down, down, return
as you're not using the mouse you can be fairly sure you won't knock the screensaver off again.
Then I changed the refresh key on my MS internet keyboard to screensaver.
