Win 10 folder view, Large vs Ex Large issue
I have an annoying issue I can't find a solution for, I have a Dell XPS 15" Laptop with a 4k panel, When I select View - Large I get what I have on my other PC's, the correct size thumbnail in the box.

If I then pick extra large the box size increases as expected but the image stays the same size

Other sizes work fine it's just extra large. Due to the small screen and high resolution it would be nice to use extra large in picture folders.
The common results to do a registry hack but this dword doesn't exist and following the edit below does naff all
PHP Code:
Registry Hack Method
Hold down the “Windows key” and press “R“.
Type “regedit” and click “OK“.
Navigate to the following location in the registry.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Software
Microsoft
Windows
CurrentVersion
Explorer
Look for an entry on the right side for “ThumbnailSize“. If you can’t find it, then right-click on “Explorer” and select “New” > “DWORD Value” and type “ThumbnailSize” for the name and press “Enter“.
Double click “ThumbnailSize” and set the value to a number between “32” and “256“. The higher the number, the larger the image thumbnails.
Close the registry editor and you’re ready to view your photo thumbnails in the size you wish.
Any ideas hexites?
Thanks.
Re: Win 10 folder view, Large vs Ex Large issue
How small are those image files?
Does it work with standard icons?
On my Windows 10 it doesn't scale up small images..

Those are 4500x3000, any image, pick a size or file format it doesn't get any bigger than the large option. This seems to be some crappy scaling limitation with high DPI displays.

nope
Re: Win 10 folder view, Large vs Ex Large issue
You should be able to set the overall scaling past 200% using the custom option if 1920x1080 effective is too small for you at 15"

That isn't the answer as 4k 15" screens are set to 250% by default.
