    access database

    hi to all,
    I have an issue with MS Access 2013 database, today it has showed me an error - Unrecognized database format. I didn't know how to open the database. Has someone stumbled upon such message?

    Sounds like your DB file is corrupt - have you got a backup?

    Hi,

    Restoring from backup is the best option.
    If it is a split database then try to delete all link tables otherwise try compact and repair to fix the error.

    Open access, go to the database tools tab, select compact and repair database.

    Make sure you have a backup.

    I would seriously consider re-making the database in a more robust Database Format, and use something like Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Express Edition (Or even a paid-for version if you're feeling particularly rich)
