I have 2 drives on my machine, xp pro on drive 1, had linux on 1 of the partitions on drive 2.
After linux was up and running, i rebooted into windows, started up Partion magic 8.0, the next thing i know is PM is stating that the second drive with at that time 4 partitions on it is bad.
Xp's computer managment console states that all is well with the drive.
So obviously something happened during the install of Ubuntu Linux.
I have now removed linux from this machine, to an other pc.
Using computer management console i have deleted, repartitioned and formated .
I have also run the recovery console, performed fixmbr, and everything is running fine, i can use all the partitions, and xp sees them fine.
I have run check disk on each partition.(no errors)
I have even run the Seatools app from Seagate.(no errors)
And yet PM still says the disk is bad, the only operation it will let me perform is to format the whole drive.
I wish to be able to merge M and N into one partition, but i am unable to.
Any suggestions for a fix please.
