    Question Samurise (UKTV)

I was looking in the old thread where people were showing their desktop themes, and I can across some that seemed to have TV listings, weather, system information etc. I looked furthur on in the thread and found that the program that creates these "info themes" was called samurise. I especially wanted the samurise UKTV config (is that the right word?), whcih displays what's on any UK TV channel you choose.

I went onto the site, and downloaded what seemed to be the right link for UKTV. I did notice that it said that version 4 didn't work, but I think I got version 4.1.32 (or something like that). Anyway, that didn't work, so I went to their forums to see if anyone else had had the same problem as me.

I found that the creator had made a plugin for it which only seems to be avaliable on the forums, so I downloaded that. After putting it in the right folder, and set it working, I found that channels BBC 1 and BBC 2 wouldn't work. instead, they only showed "file not found" which is what happened to all the channels before I got the plugin.

Has anyone got UKTV to work, and if so how?
Also, does anyone have any tips for samurise or anything else they might think will be usefull to show on my desktop?

    Thanks

EDIT - nevermind. Fixed it. The file wasn't pointing at other files correctly. Had to change the names, and it was done .

Did you get all channels working? Not just 1 and 2?

OK, I uninstalled samurise about a week ago because it just seemed to clutter up my desktop. But I'll tell you how I got it working. Download the plugin from the link below and put it in your plugin folder where samurise is installed:

    http://www.samurize.com/modules/ipbo...=post&id=49562

Then try to use the plugin with samurise. When I tried this, I could only get channles 3, 4 and 5 working, not BBC 1 or 2. I looked in the DLL file I downloaded, and found that sometimes, BBC 1 was actually called "BBC South" or something similar. Basically, all you need to do is rename everything that is "BBC South" to "BBC 1", and then save rhe file. Do the same for BBC 2 and it should all work fine.

NOTE - it might be called something different to BBC south - that's only from memory, so if it's different, then still change it to BBC 1.

    Hope that made sense .

    OK....I need help with this.

I tried using UKTV4 (before I found out it doesn't work), it only displays listings for BBC1, BBC2 and Five, with scripting errors so nothing for ITV of C4.

I downloaded the UKTV5.dll plugin, but have absolutely no idea what to do with it (apart from putting it into the plugin folder).

Can I use the layour (config) of UKTV4 with UKTV5?? If so, could someone give me simple steps how to do this, or maybe post up a config file for me please??!?!

You don't need ANY other files. Delete all other files that you previously had from UKTV, and only use the one I gave you in my link. Follow the instuctions I gave, and it should be fine. Other than that, I don't know.
