I've an Asus Z97 Mobo/ Intel 7 with and Asus Trusted Platform Module 3.19.
Since I installed the anniversary update to Win X I haven't been able to access encrypted directories or files. When I try it's "no permisssion" I kinda need access to some files there.
When I right click on the TPM Icon whereas it used to always say TPM was ready or some such it now says under "Manage Security Platform" :
"The connection to the trusted platform module could not be established, or the device does not respond properly. Please make sure that the T P M is present and that all software components are installed and configured correctly" I have reinstalled the drivers.
Device Manager says it's working properly
Sys Conf says the TPM Core process is running.
Event Viewer (System has a whole bunch of TPM and TPM-WMI -originated entries
17 The Trusted Platform Module (TPM) hardware failed to execute a TPM command.
18 This event triggers the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) provisioning/status check to run.
24 The Trusted Platform Module (TPM) status: Enabled and Active.
769 TPM Owner Authorization configuration changed from 'Full' to 'Balanced'.
1025 The TPM was successfully provisioned and is now ready for use.
1027 The Ownership of the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) hardware on this computer was successfully taken (TPM TakeOwnership command) by the system.
1026 The Trusted Platform Module (TPM) hardware on this computer cannot be provisioned for use automatically. To set up the TPM interactively use the TPM management console (Start->tpm.msc) and use the action to make the TPM ready.
Error: The operation completed successfully.
Additional Information: 0x900024
I went into TPM.msc.
Can;t change any of the settings in TPM.MSC Command 151 'TPM_Init' is blocked and cannot be changed due to 'group policy'
Anyone else have problems with their TPM since the anniversary update?
Any ideas how to resolve please?
