    System configuration logging tools

    I'm looking for recommendations on applicatoins maybe/maybe note web based that you can log details about systems, eg: hardware, software verisions components, ip addresses etc etc etc

    Its looking like I'm going to have to write something myself here but I'd be interested if there is an off the shelf product
    It is Inevitable.....

    Yes, there is. It's called belarc advisor. I think that's what you're looking for.

    good suggestion, however this is windows only.

    I don't want something that will get the data for me, just somewhere to store it
    It is Inevitable.....
