    Getting into safe mode

    My mate has borked his gfx card or its settings and needs to boot into safe mode, how can he do this with no display?
    Main Rig: i2600k@4.3Ghz/ASUS P8P67 PRO/MSi GTX580/16GB Mushkin/HAF X/Noctua NH-D14

    F8 at bootup. Not sure how thats going to help mind you. If you can't see the BIOS/post screen you won't see anything in safe mode either.

    Surely if you cant see anything then the G card is borked and no setting will help?
    If it is a setting then a bios reset should work.
