FIREFOX!! Shout it from the rooftops. Brilliant browser. Add it to a good Linux distro (I'm using Xandros) and you'll never, ever go back to Windoze/IE.

Its been mentioned before, but just in case you haven't seen it, you can speed up Firefox by following the advice in this link:

Im using it but I dont see what all the fuss is about.
It feels a bit more dull in colour and in the bookmarks it doesnt scroll up i have to move
it and drop it then move again.

Not to say i dont appreciate some of the other features.

of course tabs and also when downloading its got the pop up which lets you delete
them ..... essential for pron stealth. What other things are worthy of note... and
    i mean really worthy.

    Tab-browsing
    Security features
W3C compliance and virtually none of the annoying CSS bugs that IE has
    Extensions, try these for starters:
Tabbrowser Preferences (allows you to tweak how the tabs behave)
Adblock (allows you to block adverts in a page using a filter - I'm astounded when I return to IE and see pages with adverts in!)
All-in-one gestures (mouse gesturing, hold down right button, move the mouse a certain way to do an action. Great for changing pages/closing tabs without having to move the mouse to the top of the screen)

Firefox may look a bit dull when you first install but use the extensions and customize it a bit and you'll end up hating how rigid and cumbersome IE is.

Get following extensions you'll never look back.

    1. Tabbed browser extensions - gives lots of flexibility and options for tabs. For example allows you to open recently closed tabs, save all the tabs you have open in a "tab session" and load all these tabs in the future.

    http://piro.sakura.ne.jp/xul/tabexte.../index.html.en

    2. Chrome Edit - Profile editor. I use this to change the length/size of my google search bar.

    3. Toolbar extensions. Gives you a larger number of toolbar buttons that you can use to customise your toolbar. Personally I find "add bookmark" toolbar button very useful.

    http://extensionroom.mozdev.org/clav/#tbx

    4. Paste and go. Copy and URL into the address bar as normal but instead of paste option use "paste and go" and it will directly load this page.
