Firefox, How to:
Just wondering, and sorry for starting another thread on Firefox but this is help I need rather than praising of Firefox.
so here's my question: when clicking a link - say here on hexus - how do I get it to automatically open up the link in a new tab not a new window?
is tehre something somewhere in the settings I can alter?

hold Ctrl while clicking on the link

You can also use the middle mouse button.
-
tools -> options - > Advanced - > tabbed browsing
Not hard to find!!!
-
Here's a LINK to test the theory too :)
-
Tabbrowser Extensions does this automatically, also you can scroll through open tabs with mwheel :)

It can be a little dodgy sometimes :D
If you open a link OUTSIDE firefox (and you have done Tools>Options>Advanced>Tabbed Browsing) it will open in a new tab, but if you click a link in one window (say this one) it'll try and open it in a new window, instead of a new tab.
Just Control click the link, much simpler :P
-
middle mouse button all the way tbh :)

Tools > Options > Advanced > TabBrowser Extensions Configuration > General
Under Window mode choose "single window mode" :D
Require the tabbed browser extension as posted by Cuffz above.
