Best way to sync and backup USB Stick?
HI folks,
I use a USB stick for my work and it gets changed on a daily basis. Is there a way to automatically sync and back this up (and changes since last attached) which I can use?
I have a Synology NAS. Ideally I want it to backup to the NAS and also be able to sync it via GoogleDrive etc?
Thank you.
Re: Best way to sync and backup USB Stick?
I use FreeFileSync to sync my stick with my NAS (also Synology) and from there Synology auto-syncs it to Dropbox for me.
Only thing with FreeFileSync is it does not automatically sync/do it live. You need to manually 'kick off' the sync. There may be a way to schedule or auto run it but for my needs a manual click worked fine. When I get home and on the PC, U just fire in the USB stick, kick it off and then it and the synology handle everything from there.

AllwaySync
A backup job can be paired with a specific external storage device, so it triggers automatically every time it is plugged in, but at the same time ignores other storage devices that happen to get assigned the same drive letter. It can sync to local folders, network shares, ftp servers and various cloud storage providers. It is free for users who sync less than 40,000 files a month and $26 for a perpetual license.

Thanks, guys. I have installed and now used FreeFileSync. Worked well!
