Question Using Java 1.5 Generics In Eclipse IDE

    Hey guys,
Just wondered whether anyone has used generics inside eclipse?

I have tried multiple downloads and I can't seem to get them to work

I am using Version: 3.0.1 with the Build id: 200409161125. I have also been looking at this page but when I try and install the package it says 'Cheetah: JDT patch for supporting J2SE 1.5 (0.0.6) requires feature "org.eclipse.jdt (3.0.0)".'

    Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for anyone who reads this thread,
    Leon

Many people have problems with IDE's and J2SE versions. Personally I just downloaded the JDK as opposed to the J2SE (iirc they're different packages)

Eclipse doesn't officially support JDK1.5 until version 3.1. You could try downloading the latest stable 3.1 build - 3.1M4. You might have more luck with that than with the JDT patch.
