    Mcse

    Afternoon oh great people.

Not sure where I should have posted this really. Presently I am a no longer working Financial and Mortgage adviser, (thankyou FSA for these recent rule changes...I love you!!) 46 years of age, previously involved in building computers and installation of said about 6 years or so ago.

Looking to do something interesting for a change and considering taking the MCSE with NIT learninng centre.

Not looking to earn a fortune just be happy in what I do and stop having to sell life to people.

Anyone have any views as to whether this is a right move? Or is 'IT' in as dire straights now as financial services?

Thanks in advance for any input..

IT is in a massive mess at the moment if unless you are in India or some 3rd world country.

The MSCE is a vailable exam if you can truly do it, and have experience to back it up, if you just show up with an MCSE most employers assume you have just
taken the "pass the MCSE book" and learned it with practice tests.

the best advice I can give to any one trying for a career in this crappy industry at this time is simpley start at the bottom apply your skills at the bottom and move up, there is very little oppertunity to fast track at the moment.

sorry if this is harsh but companies are laying people off, not employing them
    It is Inevitable.....
