Windows 10 Pro offer - genuine?

I'm a bit suspicious of this, but the source (of the info.) seems OK:
    http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/micros...ews-57284.html

    the link goes to:
    https://uk.scdkey.com/microsoft-wind...opping_misc-21

    Too good to be true?
I'm toying with the idea of putting W10 on a spare HDD (but I could still get free, of course), as an 'upgrade' to W7. If it's on another disk I can just dump it - seems a good precaution!

Too good to be true? Yes, IMHO.

I haven't checked this particular deal but, over very similar past offers have queried MS contacts directly, and received a very blunt warning that such deals DO NOT originate with MS, and that they do not sell in this way.

So, if you want to be SURE that your licence will, a) activate, and b) not invalidate
at some point in the future, buy through a known authorised reseller, and I'm betting you won't find these prices.

If you buy this, it might work, it might last for a while or it might not. If it dies, my bet is you'll get nowhere moaning to MS. You pays yer money, and takes yer chance if you buy from a Digital Del-Boy.

I've always considered TH to be a reputable site, so I'm surprised that it posted the details at all.

Re: Windows 10 Pro offer - genuine?

I attempted to use the same site to purchase a Wolfienstien 2 key as they where advertising on Quidco and where cheap plus 8% cash-back, and it was 25 quid I thought it was worth the risk. 5 minutes after my was payment taken through PayPal I get an email asking for copies my identity documents... Straight on to PayPal for a refund, email sent to Quidco complaining.

    Avoid!

Re: Windows 10 Pro offer - genuine?

Groupon are offering Win 10 Pro for £20 via OEM key and download.

    https://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/micr...on&d=deal-page

Not sure if it's legit as I thought you could only buy OEM with hardware. Links to 8keys.de for the download...

That was never the case in the UK as far as I'm aware, just a US workaround.

Aside from Windows 8, OEM licences are only valid for systems you're selling to a third party though:
