    HTML, Help!

    Hi,
Im trying to learn HTML from websites. I have been OK with it. How do make a navigation bar that goes on the left or up the top with links to other pages such as "home"?

Woah woah woah, HTML only controls the layout of the page, it doesn't create things magically. I suppose you could use a <tr> and insert the information into there and then set the background colour of the <tr> perhaps?

See http://www.w3schools.org/ for all your needs on HTML

HTML decides the structure of your site, what order things appear in, where things link to etc.

CSS decides the layout of your site, the colours, the position of things.

Simply Google for as many tutorials and guides as you can

nvening css is cascade style sheets, i think they are mostly used it php but i dont know as ive never had to use one.
In order to get what you want your going have to make a frameset if you want a very easy tutorial on how to learn html this one is a beginners tutorial to it: http://www.davesite.com/webstation/html/

Get the hang of basic HTML first and then move on to CSS

Avoid framesets like the plague, they are unfriendly to users and should be avoided unless it is completely essential. CSS has nothing to do with PHP it is a method of applying styles to your HTML page and these styles can be as simple as deciding the font or text color up to complex items such as drop down menus and boxes on your page. In your position I recommend you get nvu from http://www.nvu.com/ as it will allow you to drag and drop elements onto a page like Word but will write the HTML for you thus making it easier to learn.

hplearningcenter.com do some good tutorials. There was quite a good one on ASP.net on a week ago. They'll probably do an HTML one soon.
