    Google Chrome behaving oddly

I've checked the net and I've suspected everything else before reaching the conclusion that my Chrome is somehow...odd.

What happens is that certain sites, regardless if on the phone, tablet or PC just try to load, with a sign underneath that 'trying establish secure connection', however other browsers are fine (Internet Explorer or Edge) accessing the same site. I'm constantly pinging the site address too and the communication is fine. The history has been completely wiped, there are no extensions, yet it still behaves oddly. Couldn't find anything about it on the internet.

    Any ideas, please?

Not exactly a direct solution ;-) oddly enough, when Chrome is repeatedly failing to open a site, I open Edge next to it for the same site and Chrome starts to load too...:-\

IE doesn't do this, neither does Edge, nor Firefox or Maxthon. I'm just utterly perplexed

Any strange proxy settings / similar set up in chrome? That's all I can think of.

Sadly, no. I think proxy settings would universally affect all browsers. Still perplexed :|

EDIT: if I could, I would show it. Any site on Chrome is just loading for a while (like a good while) but when I open a website on another broswer, the site in Chrome loads immediatelly too. Any ideas?

    Re: Google Chrome behaving oddly

I remember having this exact issue and eventually narrowing it down to be related to Cryptographic Services.

    Have a look at: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...c-c9ee6b42da0c

It was the registry fix that worked for me, in the reply by "Nover Peter" about 6 posts down. Hope this helps!

    Hi there,

Thanks for the suggestion but I couldn't follow up all the way the instructions so I'm still stuck

EDIT: but in the post there's a link to a different discussion and a fix in that discussion from 'jeff hoagland' worked. At least it seems so. So in the end you've helped me. Thanks

Glad to hear it, this was one of the most frustrating and unusual issues I've had with my computer for a long time. It took me months to find a fix and I just don't get along with other browsers...
