    LO formulae should be pretty much identical to Excel, so if you know what you are looking for, it shouldn't be too hard to Google. For example, "Excel copy formula keep one cell constant" (Google actually suggests this halfway through) should get you plenty of hits on syntax you are looking for.

    Yes, these queries are lobody obvious - now I know. I just couldn't recall enough terminology to do a meaningful search so kept getting junk - GIGO!
    I did learn a lot with a database but haven't done any of that for for about 12 years. The spreadsheets that I've cobbled together sort of functioned on simple arithmetic.
