Postfix multiple recipient alias

Hiya,

I have been asked to set up 'mailing lists' so that users can easily email everyone in specific departments. e.g. research@woop.co.uk will mail everyone in research.

Im looking around but havent seen how to do this yet, any ideas?

what mail server are you using I'm guessing postfix judging by the thread title.

Are you trying to do this at the client end or the server end as both are achievable.

yeah postfix, but I think I've sorted it now

needed to edit the /etc/mail/aliases file and then run /usr/bin/newaliases
