    Outlook keeps asking for passwords

Outlook keeps asking for a password sinc an update/reinstallation a few months ago.
Perhaps it's something to do with there being different vendors:
I have Office365 which I renewed from the Microsoft Store. I'd a student licence before renewal
I have Office 365 Business Essentials from a different vendor Namesco as they are handling all legacy Demon Internet There wasn't an Office app download link there and Namesco were impossible to get through to. (£hundred odd quid just to get mail delivered)

Looked online and followed some guides.
Tried in accounts and everything had remember password already activated.
Tried clearing passwords in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Credential Manager No avail.

There is also a repeated alarm to fix microsoft accounts from Shared experiences. I just ignore these or I have to change passwords.

    How do I repair outlook?

I'm a P/T student again so I can get a free Office 365 licence at renewal time.

Re: Outlook keeps asking for passwords

Have you tried deleting and recreating your profile? (back up your .pst file first - 'just in case')

Disclaimer - I am not a regular Outlook user - this has worked for Outlook connections to a Exchange server where mail is kept as a proprietary IMAP form - hence the warning about backing up your .pst file - but you do this at your own risk!)

Unlikely. Office Outlook 2016 will ask for a password when the password embedded in the profile does not match the password held on the server.

Business Essentials is a package of online only services - It does not include desktop apps. The killer feature in Business Essentials is an Exchange server mailbox, complete with Active Directory on Azure. As Exchange talks MAPI and OWS (http), the mailbox is compatible with most desktop mail apps but Office Outlook provides the most seamless and feature rich experience. (My apologies for sounding like an M$ brochure).

By default Business Essentials Active Directory accounts (on the server) are set to expire the passwords automatically - I would guess that could be your problem and certainly you need to check your Business Essentials Admin portal.

Tried in accounts and everything had remember password already activated.
You are fiddling in the wrong place.

    How do I repair outlook?
You select Office in Apps and Features, Modify, then select the option for an online repair. However, this will not reset the password on the Exchange server. You need to do that from the O365 Admin portal.
