    Java GUI's

I'm having fun learning them but my book doesn't cover advanced GUI topics and i need to know how to get the actioneventlistener to change the page if you get my meaning. So say there's a few buttons on the left, press one and the main page would change with different content in it. I won't go any further into it as i need to do that as a starting point

Any ideas where there's some tutorials or anyone actually know how to do it? No WYSIWYG stuff either ta

The API and the Sun tutorials are your best bet. The Sun tutorials are actually pretty good. I learnt a lot about GUI coding from them.

Are you referring to a web page or an actual application?

An actual application. i've found some decent tutorials in the Java API fortunately. The only decent book i found covered 1.1 only and quite a lot has changed since then. I don't have to implement a GUI for quite a while yet though
