I know several people who have tried Windows XP x64, and they have spoken of a very real speed increase (on their bog standard Athlon 64s). If you don't mind a bit of crashing, I'd give it a go. I'd also recommend that you make 2 partitions on your HDD, one with x64 and one with standard Windows x32, so if the x65 goes AWOL, you can get data from it and/or reinstall with ease.
Btw, I really wouldn't recommend you use x64 as your primary OS atm. Hope I could help.![]()

I use it as a comparison. It's pretty stable for me. Drivers are scarse, and I've got no sound as the Frtissimo isn't supported. However the n-force drivers are pretty good.
Some peeps are experiencing probs with ATI drivers too. Can't recommend it as a day-to-day o/s as so many things don't work.
Still, fun to tinker with

Also, if you are interested in trying out x64, try out Longhorn. It does require a DVD to burn it to, but it a good insight into the future of Windows, even if it is extremely buggy.

eMule is the way I got it. Now, before I get banned for copyright thingy, may I say this is only for the MSDN subscribers. So 0iD, go get a degree in programming and then you'll be allowed to download it legally.
Btw, Longhorn beta 4074 is the one out atm, so wait a few weeks for the 5xxx edition. It shouldn't crash as much as 4074.
