    Vbulletin Forums?

    Hi,

I am currently about to set up a forum and am in two minds which to go for? I am torn between either invision 2.0 as i have used this before or Vbulletin as it seems to be what all the big sites have. I was going to go for Invision as it is free but after finding out that 2.0 cost money also i am thinking about Vbulletin.

I was just wondering if anyone had any pointers in to which one ot go for disadvantage/advantages?. I don't want to use a free one e.g. Php nuke etc i want to use one of these systems so could do with some input.

    Cheers

I prefer VBulletin to Invision. Invision was great while there was a free version (for those just starting out setting up a forum) but they work out more expensive than VB AND their support is ALLEDGED (I cannot confirm or deny) to be a little aggressive against people who complain...

VB also is more customisable in my usage and has a better template system in my experience.

    Iain,

I'd be interested in seeing the bandwidth figures for the hexus form as it is a vbulletin forum (assuming its not secrect)
    It is Inevitable.....

I like phpbb myself - and they are very quick with security updates.... and its free of course

But please - don't use the standard layout as everyone does
