Best Free Video Editing Software?

Hello,

I want to make some clever good videos to upload to youtube, I don't like Windows Movie Maker, it is too limiting... I can't for example show split screen of two images or two videos...

I want to be able to put clips like .mp4 into my video but Windows Movie Maker says that codec doesn't work.

Hi, I used Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere. For me - Adobe Premiere is one of the best software for editing.
