    HTML / Resolution Query

Hello all, my site is coming together slowly. I am enjoying doing it and learning alot. Taking me ages as i have hardley any spare time.

I am un-decided as to how i can have my site working well for all resolutions.

I have squashed my buttons up and don't like the way they look now. If i run the site in 800x600 it still requires scrolling.

I have specified my table size in % as i thought this would work for any resolution. Please can you have a look at the website and say what you think.

Would i be better doing the whole thing in flash? Or do you think the html is adequate for this site?

Cheers in advance for your time

Can't see the site pal don't seem to be loading up. You should either base your site around 780px wide which is the standard size for websites, or you can also use 100% width but only use this on the top table and the middle table and create your header in a seperate cell in the top table to avoid it becoming stretched.

i'm guessing the reason its not scaling down to the right % in 8x6 is because there are elements (table cells or images) which have a combind width greater than the 790px that 800x600 gives you to play with.

As realm says the best way to design a site is to stick to a rigid frame of 780px wide. That way you know it'll work for eveyone. Except the knuckledraggers using 640x480, but then they'd use the internet to catch fish.

that works, to an extent, except with the stretching screen the center image tiles three ways..... As the above have said best to make it a fixed 780px.
