    Windows 10

Windows 10. About as secure as a Masterlock and about as well built (there's currently a Masterlock in bits in front of me in bits after I was picking it at work, it bounced around in my bike box on the way home and partially exploded... springs and spool pins everywhere.... oh and the core fell apart and the lock opened after three light strikes from my hammer).

I went to print my travel insurance docs for going away and spent more time fixing Windows' inability to manage USB devices than actually printing.

It almost got "reconfigured" with my hammer.

Do not keep a hammer next to your PC if you're using Windows 10. In fact anything which could be used to smash the PC to little itty-bitty-bits in a fit of rage should be kept away from a machine running Windows 10.

    To summarise....

    AAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

(Grammarly says my tone is "forceful").

    Having a bad day?

Can't say I've had USB trouble as yet
Many other things annoy me so I feel your pain.

Printer worked just fine until they updated a while back. It wasn't a bad day until I had to fight with Windows to do basic things that I could often do easier under DOS. It's a frustrating sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, no obvious pattern thing.

I have bought cartridges in bulk for a perfectly functional bit of kit which is now made unreliable purely due to poor updates. It's infuriating.

So I'm now playing the song "Enema Countdown" on full blast to share the love with the neighbours.

According to Grammarly, the tone of this post is "joyful".

Have you considered that Grammarly might be part of the problem? After all, they spam the living heck out of me whenever I spend longer than 30 seconds on YouTube, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're effing about with you in some other fashion...

    Re: Windows 10

I have to troubleshoot my printer to get it to even work. Every time! This may be due to something disabling services though.

I am having UI trouble and am looking forward to eventually installing my NVME SSD and doing a clean install. Can only be a good think. But with 1909 around the corner I may as well wait for that now?

From what I've read 1909 is the first low key update, so I wouldn't bother waiting for it, it won't be as harsh as all the others that completely reinstall Windows. This is more a service pack or mega cumulative update.

So I have printer joy to look out for when I get my new W10 computer for work.
