Am I correct to say "Sage is just a GUI for MS Access"?
I dont belive it is.
it uses a different ODBC driver - but can link to access db's as far as I know.
you would be very correct indeed :)
I've done a bit of work in the past to get around a certain mechanism of Sage before now (as asked by the director of the company :) )
IIRC its a Delphi front end for an encrypted Access97 DB. Simple As.
Thanks. Does this mean you need to have MS Access installed in order to use Sage?
rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishey - I stand corrected then !! ( its all coding malarky to me - I'm "just" an admin :) )
FunkyT - you dont need access installed to use sage.
the access database drivers (Jet) are standalone - i've written access databses in the past using ASP, and Jet 4.0
Thanks for helpful replies gang.
