Hi All
My problem is that my HTPC that is running windows 10 is not permanently saving the sound sample rate to 24Bit 96000Hz (Studio Quality) (which it does support)
The HTPC has an old AMD Radeon HD 5700 series card that is hooked up to my Yamaha AVR (Amp) via HDMI. The sound is being sent out from the graphics card via HDMI to the AVR (Amp) and it all works fine apart from when it comes to windows holding the correct sample rate settings.
It keeps reverting it back to 16Bit 44100 Hz (CD quality) so im having to check every time before i start watching a movie or listening to spotify that it is set back to 24bit 96000Hz.
I can not work out what is changing it or how to get windows 10 keep it as a default for more than a few hours as it works and sounds much better through my 5.1 floor standing speakers, also when it does revert back it also sets it to 2 channel and im having to change it back to 5.1 ch.
- Have disabled the onboard sound in the BIOS.
- I have also unticked both the "Exclusive Mode" options.
Any help or suggestions most welcome.
Cheers
