Acronis True Image 2020 - Backing up more than 10 times slower.

Just tried out True Image 2020 to compare to 2019 and backing up 50GB took nearly an hour.

This is using the boot ISO backing up a VM via USB 3 to an SSD, 2019 took 5 min.

2020 using tibx comes out at 24 and 2019 comes out at 26. The 2GB difference is neither here nor there but the time certainly is.

    Seems common.

Based on Jeffs tests they've clearly changed how the algorithm works, as it's shaved 9GB somehow at the cost of time. I'd reignite the post on that forum rather than here.

What are they doing releasing 2020 in April of 2019 though. Might as well release 2022 while they're ahead.

Have to say while Acronis is brilliant, I've switched to Aomei Backup. Cheaper and does just as good a job.
Interface takes a little to get used to but works really well.
