Gaim/trillian/something else... which is the best cross format im tool and why?

If I'm forced to use IM apps for some insane reason, I like trillian the best.

I like Gaim, although it doesn't have the best skins (trillion does look very nice) and currently has no webcam support, it is however very clean looking and with a little effort you can mod it to look how you choose by altering the image files it comes with Why not install both and see what you think, it seems to be very much a personal opinon as to which is best.

i found gaim on windows VERY unstable last i tried, though it's pretty solid on linux & i prefer it to kopete
