    Hi
http://www.ocz.com/ has a rather excellent menu
can anyone point me in the direction of some good tutorials to create something like this?

most of the menu tuts ive come accross so far are either not animated or not browser compatible.

I take it your on about the way the menu drops down. Look for Javascript show/hide functions on google and you will soon come across one. I have done a site with that before but its at my work so don't have access to the code.

Please dont do that to your website while OCZ have a better example of that type of menu than most its still horrible to use from a users perspective, gets in the way, slows down the site, completely not needed.

But if you really have to use that kind of menu, look @ http://javascript.internet.com/

Menus like that can provide quick and easy access to site content and can also cut down on the amount of pages needed. If their well thought out they are a good addition to any site with a lot of pages/content. They save the user having to click though unnecessary pages to get to where they want to go

Anyways, you can do that with CSS as well. I prefer the CSS way tbh since i think JS is a horrid language though, you will get greater cross browser compatibility with the JS/DHTML method.

    The CSS way:

Tabbed menus acheive a similar thing also:

EDIT: I found a DHTML menu tut in my bookmarks folder:

    http://www.aspandjavascript.co.uk/ja...menu_tutorial/

Not to sure if its a completed tutorial tho but i think it does what you want it to.

I generally try to make webpages that work in text based browsers such as w3m or lynx as well as firefox et al. If the site requires javascript and shockwave, fair enough
otherwise contentent accessibility should be the main concern.
