    Pomodoro Technique Timer

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method which harnesses the human attention span before being distracted, it uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks (3-5 minutes in length).

Each interval is known as a pomodoro, after four pomodoros, take a longer break (15–30 minutes), reset your timer and repeat.

Several Promodo timers are available out there in both online and desktop multi platform variants, I use on my Windows box, which is highly configurable, with a tiny footprint and free, it can be had from:

At my age for that I use the timer in reverse, 2-3 minutes of activity, followed by 30 minutes of rest.

While I don't know what to think about the 'Technique Timer' part, my initial thought upon seeing the title was "Pomodoro? Is that supposed to be some sort of Commodore knock-off?!"

After reading the actual post above however, it comes across as a solution trying to fix a problem that might exist, but will only be solvable in the way they propose for a few people.

As everyone is different (and thus you can't generalise them as having the same attention span and/or distraction issues), some might find it helpful, but I'd imagine the majority will find it pointless.

I thought this would be to do with tomato sauces. Sadly I only got half way through the post before I got distracted. What's it all about again?

    Re: Pomodoro Technique Timer

It is not exactly that way. You can set the timer to work for your attention span. You would have to decide what your attention span is and how long you can keep it.
Then set the timer for that time. For instance, you can set the timer for 15 minutes if that is how long you can stretch your attention span. For others, the attention span maybe 13 minutes, who knows.
This is how Pomodoro timer works.

    Re: Pomodoro Technique Timer

I just follow my work schedule. 25mins isn't enough time to get anything done.
