Looks like it is trying to access a file on your CD rom, insert the disk back in or try and open up another file or location.
Ok, i tried
I opened the player directly, went to file -> open, opened the sample in the quicktime directory, this is what just came up:

looks like something is messed up there for sure, do a quick reinstall and I am guessing it will 99% sort out the problem.

May I recommend Quicktime Alternative? I find it nicer to use rather than Quicktime, which keeps telling you to upgrade and whatnot.

I did try QuicktimeAlt, but once you stop quicktime nagging then its actually a fairly pleasant program.Originally Posted by mike_w
Also it lets you save vid clips from webpages which is nice. No playlist support is a tad annoying
