    Web server woes...

    Hello,

I'm running IIS 5 on Windows 2000 for joshwaller.tk which has been fine for a couple of months, but recently every few hours it's stopped working for no apparent reason - in computer management it appears to be running, however i need to stop / start the webserver in order to get it going again...

does anyone have any ideas what this could be - i've checked the application / system / security logs but can't seem to see any problems?

I've got zonealarm, and anti-virus software and anti-spyware on there, so it should be safe from malicious stuff?

    Josh

There's been some new ones out just the other day but I haven't installed them yet. Normally a reboot will fix it, but rebooting every day is a pain. I might have to install Apache...

esp. v.5 - seriuously - if you're not running an exchange server or sharepoint - or anything specifically windows asp - then why run iis?
apache is much more robust - and if I do need to use exchange - I've got a redirect to the ssl only exchange server. for everything else apache works just fine.
