Win 2K/2K3 Terminal Service change port?

I'm trying to make my remote VM's Terminal service also accessible from outside, so I'm looking for a way to change Terminal service port (Both the server and the client software). But I only have one IP.

Terminal service does not support the VMWare virtual pointer and I need to access the VMWare desktop at 1500ms round-trip (about 2~3sec lag time). I don't want to have my mouse lag like VNC

I use port address translation to access multiple servers behind nat'd IP's

from the client side of view you just connect to serverortname then apply the relevent route to your router

i just map on my router which ports I wish to map to which servers. easier done than said - then supply port settings in the connection file.

I may have got the wrong end of the stick .

Using the RDC client (or the web client if you want to edit the ASP page) you can just call IPADDRESSORT e.g. 192.168.110.50:3389 (or DNS, NetBIOS name etc. ) to get connected to a custom port.

You just set the port you want Terminal Services/RDP to run on via a reg key (I'll edit in a moment with the exact key when I check my servers.).

Edit: It's HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\
Control\Terminal Server\WinStations\RDP-Tcp and it's the PortNumber key.

The port you want is in HEX so use Windows Calc to convert the decimal.
