    Can't delete hurl.exe

    Right the kids have managed to get a file called hurl.exe on their desktop I cn't delete. I know it's innocuous but it just won't go.

    I've tried logging on as a different user, i've tried doing it in safe mode. I've looked in task manager but it's not running. I've tried shutting down processes one by one, but I can't delete it. Every single time I try I get a message that another process is using it.

    This thing is bugging me. Any answers?

    anythign in msconfig ?

    what about using a PE disk to clear it ?

    Hurl is connected with RealPlayer.

    Try getting & using moveonboot

    MSI P55-GD80, i5 750

    Do you run NTFS? If not, grab a windows98 bootdisk and remove it by hand.

    You get hurl.exe if using Firefox when you click on an audio sample from an Amazon CD. Something to do with the way Firefox handles (or not) RealAudio links.

    It happened to me for the first time tonight and I just renamed it to hurl.ram and double-clicked!
