    Google Web Accelerator

Google have just launched a new service, it cuts down the time of browsing by caching pages. It actually works quite well, it even shows you how many seconds you have saved waiting for pages to loads.

You can get it from here.

It did say in the t&C that it would store data but you can tell it sites in which it should not store data e.g online shops etc

I've read that some users have have gone onto forums and have found themselves signed in as someone else. This is because of the way it is caching the data and letting others use it.

I'm not gonna touch it until issues such as that are sorted. Besides 2mb broadband aint slow anyway

There are also certain security issues with it aswell. People are being logged into forum accounts that dont belong to them! How shocking and insecure is that. Ive posted a link about this in the "firefox reaches 50 million downloads" thread in GD

I am keeping it on my machine...its pretty darn cool and man internet surfing has gone so much faster! the security issues do concern me however...but meh...I turn it off when I go somewhere secure or personal anyway like going to online bank accounts and so on. I think it works well and I dont care what google does personally with my web surfing data...worst they could do is create some ads using their adsense technology and if that happens...click web acc is gone!

I feel you should be wary of any program that can capture your personal details and pass them on, without your knowledge.

Too right. Anyone who does online banking, credit card payment etc etc should stay well clear until it's safe.
