weird firefox problem

hi guys

been using firefox for about 6 months now, anyway, it randomly comes up today with 'user profile in use, please make a new one', so i thought ok, made a new one, but now all my saved passwords, bookmarks, etc have gone !

i know its a simple case of reverting back, but ive got no idea how to (cant find the user options on it?) also, why did it say this in the first place? its never happened before and now all of a sudden someone else is using my profile.. im not on a network or anything, so cant have been any one else !

It's normaly when firefox crashed and its still running in background, just end it in taskmanager and restart FF
